The mission of the Halal Program of HFC-USA is to assure professional service and excellence in certifying, monitoring, and promoting Halal food and consumer products in accordance with Islamic law (Shariah), thereby protecting the rights of Muslim consumers to only consume that which is lawful (Halal) and good (Tayyab). The members of the Halal Program of HFC-USA have been empowered and charged by the Muslims of North America to carry out this mission.
Halal Food Council USA is an international Halal-certifying body operating in North America since 1984. HFC-USA is headquartered in Salisbury, MD.
HFC-USA is a grassroots community organization that maintains a close relationship with Muslim communities in North America through Islamic centers and organizations.
Halal Food Council USA has the distinct honor of earning religious and governmental recognition from MUI of Indonesia, as well as many other Muslim countries throughout the world.
